This study is about applying the fundamentals of physics using the concepts of friction to understand and describe dance shoes and dance floor interaction. We have used sliding friction, skidding friction and rotational friction to describe our model independent study. Since we are performing a general and model independent study so we have taken the dancer to be of a uniform cylindrical shape. The various frictions used are time dependent.
