Background: Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) conventional treatment with corticosteroids presents significant adverse effects. This study documents the first case of successful corticosteroid substitution by S. cerevisiae in ITP, achieving 127,000 platelets/mm3 (24.5% superior to prednisone peak) through gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) modulation.RESUMO EM PORTUGUÊS: Relato do primeiro caso documentado de substituição de prednisona por Saccharomyces cerevisiae na PTI, alcançando 127.000 plaquetas/mm3 via modulação do GALT, com estabilidade leucocitária e ausência de efeitos colaterais.
