In Thoms catastrophe theory there can exist control-variables, which can describe the system variables of a physical system changing in a continuos manner, while the system variables change spontan and abruptly their physical states and so the equlibrium of the whole system. This is a u201ecatastrophe" after Thoms definition. The system variables can be defined over a class of germ-functions, which minimal enfoldings are the added functions of controlling variables. Most descriptions are time - and space-dependend.But in this modelling the description of universe itself can be given of Big Bang as a germ of an elliptic umbilic point and the universe expansion as its enfolding. If the assumption is made, that the three spacelike dimensions are generated in a different energy spectrum, then inertia could be explained over supposed anisotropy of spacetime in the microscale of Planck-length.
