Positive outcomes from the creation of an advanced artificial general intelligence are noted including its development of an optimal encyclopedia and language that could lead to an era of peace and progress. The risks of negative and unknown outcomes are also described including the potential dangers from artificial intelligence editing the human genome, providing the answers to metaphysical questions, or learning to control fundamental aspects of reality.
