The Standard Model Boson Sector and Symmetry Breaking from the Perspective of the Microscopic Theory

Authors: Bodo Lampe

In recent years a microscopic model was developed in order to unify the physics of elementary particles and cosmology. The model introduces an underlying microscopic level of invisible `tetron' matter, the SSB of the SM being interpreted as an alignment of isospin vectors of the tetrons. While earlier work has dealt with the quark lepton spectrum and gravity, the present paper concentrates on the value of the Weinberg angle and how the Higgs and the electroweak gauge bosons are to be interpreted as excitations on the underlying structure.
