We study the head entries of A Concise Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English. Wedraw the natural logarithm of the number of head entries, normalised, starting with a letter vsthe natural logarithm of the rank of the letter, normalised. We conclude that the Dictionarycan be characterised by BP(4, βH = 0.02), i.e. the magnetisation curve in the the Bethe-Peierlsapproximation of the Ising model, in the presence of four nearest neighbours and little externalmagnetic field, H, with βH = 0.02. β is1/(K_B T) where, T is temperature and k_B is the tiny Boltzmann constant.
