Dictionary of Computers Edited by Pankaj Dhaka and the Graphical Law

Authors: Anindya Kumar Biswas

We study the entries in the Dictionary of Computers edited by Pankaj Dhaka. We draw the naturallogarithm of the number of entries, normalised, starting with a letter vs the natural logarithm ofthe rank of the letter, normalised. We conclude that the Dictionary can be characterised byBP(4,βH = 0.05) i.e. a magnetisation curve in the Bethe-Peierls approximation of the Ising modelwith four nearest neighbours in the presence of external magnetic field, H, with βH = 0.05. β is1/(k_B T)where, T is temperature and k_B is the tiny Boltzmann constant.
