Choice of Reference Frame to Determine Time Duration and Simultaneity in Special Relativity

Authors: Per Hokstad

Rather than adopting the conventionality of simultaneity, we discuss the possible identification of a ‘correct’ Reference Frame for analysing time duration and simultaneity of phenomena. Four standard examples are reviewed to illustrate the approach. The discussion includes use of the concepts, time vector and event graph.
