Antena de VHF con Medidas Escalares
VHF Antenna with Scalar Measures

Authors: Carlos Alejandro Chiappini

This VHF antenna is geometrically similar to a ground plane type antenna. Novelty is in the measurements of the irradiant and the radials, which predispose the antenna to create the wave by exciting the scalar field, instead of creating it by exciting the vector fields. The radiation pattern is multilobed, symmetrical and compact, with a firing angle quite low. In practice, it exhibits very good performance in Rx and Tx, suitable for communicating with distant stations.
