Assessing the Black Hole Solution

Authors: A. J. Owen

The generally accepted solution predicting black holes and an event horizon using GR is shown to contain an elementary mistake when comparingit with Newton's law of gravitation. Using the correct ansatz it is proved here that the spacetime outside a point mass is completely regular, i.e. there is no event horizon or black hole, and free-fall velocities do not exceed the speed of light.
