The Collatz Conjecture - A Definitive Proof

Authors: Peter G. Bass

This paper presents a proof of the Collatz Conjecture by showing that the sequence of numbers generated cannot either diverge, converge to a single number, possess more than one stable oscillation, or alternate indefinitely. The methods used are (i) Number pattern Recognition, (ii) basic analysis and (iii) simple interpretive logic.
