Authors: Bernd Ganter
This paper is about the new very precise measurement of the fine structure constant made by LKB in Paris (α = 137.035999206) and the problem of it deviating substantially from the 2018 measurement from Berkeley (α = 137.035999046). We comment on the CODATA-values fixed by NIST from 1969 till today and compare the new value with the Ganter-prognosis for α based on information economy. (The derivation of that prognosis, α = 137.035999100, can be found on viXra:1408.0018: Bernd Ganter, Die Entschlüsselung der Feinstrukturkonstante)
