The Polarizable Vacuum theory of Harold Puthoff and others is evaluated with relativistic calculations to show that it can only be valid when velocity is small or zero. A modification based on work by Niels Bohr in 1949 is used to extend PV theory for high velocity deep space transport. The modification is used to predict that the high velocity of prolonged acceleration is sufficient to polarize the vacuum with a reversed curvature of space. A weakness of PV theory is removed by eliminating the leap of faith required for field effect generators.
